This week 18 Indian startups raised funding, of which 13 received a total sum of about $84 million. Among them, Lead School raised the highest funding of about $28 million followed by FarEye, which raised $13 million.
Meanwhile, funding for 5 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.
Below is the summary of deals closed this week
FarEye: Logistics management software FarEye has secured $13 million in its extended Series D funding led by Sanjeev Aggarwal and Nandan Nilekani’s Fundamentum Partnership Fund.
Lead School: Edtech startup Lead School has secured $28 million in a Series C funding round from WestBridge Capital. The fresh round for the company has materialized after a year.
Pixxel: Space tech startup, Pixxel has raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures, growX ventures and Lightspeed India. The round also saw participation from Inventus Capital India and other angel investors including Stanford Angels and Ryan Johnson.
FPL: Fintech startup First Principles Labs or FPL Technologies has scored $10 million in a Series A funding round led by its existing backers — Matrix Partners and Sequoia Capital India. Hummingbird Ventures along with a few angel investors also joined the round.
Repute: Blockchain-based data and identity management platform, Repute has raised $1.7 million in its seed round led by Global Founders Capital or GFC, a VC fund of Rocket Internet.
Trell: Lifestyle centric short video app Trell has secured $11.4 million in a Series A funding round led by KTBN Ventures and Samsung Ventures.
SmarterBiz: AI-powered customer experience platform SmarterBiz has secured $1.1 million in pre-Series A funding round from StartupXseed Ventures, MI Aravind, Daksh, Artiman, Ravi Viswanath, Ramesh Radhakrishnan, Ranjan Biswas, and MJ Aniketh.
Mitron: Homegrown short-form video app, Mitron has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners with participation from 3one4 Capital and Lets Ventures.
GrayQuest: Education-focused fintech company, GrayQuest has secured $1.2 million in pre-Series A funding led by Foundation Holdings. Mahansaria Family Office, Jeejeebhoy Family Office, Ashok Wadhwa’s Family Office, Samir Bhatia, and Rohit Dhoot amongst others also participated.
Captain Fresh: Seafood focussed B2B startup, Captain Fresh has raised $2.3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Ankur Capital along with Incubation Fund and Silicon Valley-based angel investors also participated.
Daalchini: Instant-home food provider via IoT-enabled vending machines, Daalchini has raised $0.6 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by existing backer Artha Venture Fund. Angel investors including Ajay Kaul, Ashutosh Valani, Priyank Shah, Narendra Karnavat, and Amit Lakhotia also participated.
Masai School: Software coding platform Masai School has raised $2.5 million in its pre-Series A round of funding led by Unitus Ventures. AngelList India and existing investor India Quotient also participated.
Able Jobs: Hiring platform for entry-level jobs, Able Jobs has raised $1.7 million in its seed round of funding led by multi-stage investor SAIF Partners.
